In the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung's havoc, the Tamil Nadu government has swiftly responded by earmarking Rs 1.90 crore for a comprehensive cleanup initiative targeting schools across four districts. Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, and Tiruvallur are set to benefit from this financial allocation, strategically designed to restore educational facilities that bore the brunt of heavy rainfall in the initial week of December. Chennai, in particular, faced severe waterlogging and widespread disruption of essential services during the cyclonic weather.
